About Us

Faculty of Dentistry was established on 15 June 2011 with the decision of the Council of Ministers numbered 2011/2018. In our faculty, which started undergraduate education with 43 students in the 2013-2014 academic year, 579 students are receiving undergraduate education as of the 2023-2024 academic year. Patient admission to our faculty started in 2013, and as of February 2024, the number of patients applying to our faculty has reached 1 250 078.

There are 8 departments in our faculty. The academic staff of the Faculty of Dentistry as of February 2024; 24 faculty members, 77 research assistants and 2 dentists. In addition, 63 administrative personnel serve in our faculty.

Specialization in Dentistry (DUS) education in our faculty started with 8 specialist students in 2013, and this number reached 76 in 2024.

Within our faculty, there are clinics belonging to the departments, 1 preclinical laboratory with a capacity of 75 students, 2 phantom laboratories with a capacity of 40 and 45 students, 1 lecture hall, and 4 classrooms, and these areas are actively used for educational activities.

Since its establishment, our faculty has increased significantly in terms of the number of students, academic staff and physical space, and approximately 600 patients are treated daily by 101 academic staff and intern students in 101 units.
